GIR is a web delivered global database of raw petroleum geochemistry data. Users can browse the database using either a map interface or powerful search engines and download data in either tabular data sheets or in interpreted graphic plots. There are three types of data stored in GIR; rock data, oils data and seeps data. Rock data typically includes source rock richness, kerogen type and maturity data. Oils typically contain physical properties, fractionation, GC and GCMS data. Seeps contain only text information on seep location and manifestation data. The database currently contains ~ 5300 rock data sites, 2600 oils and 13500 seeps. Clients can subscribe at a global, regional, country or basin scale. New data is added to the database on a regular basis as it becomes released from Oil Companies Government bodies etc. Click here to view the brochure |
