Well Data Conditioning

Oil companies increasingly require rapid access to high quality digital well log data. Fugro Data Solutions (Formerly Fugro Robertson) has supplied the industry since the early 1990's on a non-exclusive basis from all regions of the globe. Any data enhancement project is reliant on an accurate and consistent set of wireline data.

Wireline data is the continuous recording of a geophysical parameter along a borehole. The values of measurement are plotted against the depth in the well or borehole. Recordings are made at the end of each drilling phase; each recording is called a logging run. A number of logging runs can be made in one well. So it is quite often the case that preparation of a composite dataset of wireline curves from the top to the bottom of the well will take far longer than the actual interpretation of wireline data.
